Edible Indy's Spring 2015 Feeding Our Community issue is hot off the press. Covering all things good that Indiana communities do to ensure that people do not go without, we here at C&T Design felt that it was the perfect time to start partnering with Edible Indy as this particular subject matter is near and dear to our hearts. Featured in the ad we placed in this issue (as pictured below) are The Chef's Academy and Second Helpings - two amazing entities that are dedicated to giving back to the Indianapolis community everyday. We are proud to be able to say that we have partnered with them in the past and are excited to partner with them in the near future. Keep an eye out for us in the next Edible Indy issue.
Jennifer Rubenstein, Edible Indy's Editor-In-Chief, has a contagious excitement and passion for what she does and the world in which we work. She also hand-delivers these magazines around the state herself! Thank you, Jennifer and the Edible Indy team, for being such a pleasure to work with on this endeavor.
Find the latest issue of Edible Indy at any one of the local food spots that they distribute their magazine to throughout Indiana. Also, the digital edition is available on their website and their newly released app. While you're at it, follow them on Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter and/or Instagram!
The Oaks Academy, located in Indianapolis, Indiana, provides a quality, faith-based education that stretches far beyond the pages of a textbook. Students are taught the importance of respect starting at an early age. One facet of respect that we here at C&T are lucky enough to witness them learning about and putting into practice each year are good manners.
It became apparent rather quickly at last week’s Good Manners Lunch that they spend their time in an environment that fosters respect. Second and sixth graders alike listened intently to each other speak and responded with interested and thoughtful questions. This lunch occurs each year and provides students with the opportunity to use what they learn about manners in a more formal dining environment. Never has a room filled with so many second and sixth graders been so quiet as when Linda Adams, The Oaks Academy's Partner Program Director, needed their attention so the picture above could be taken. We were in awe.
