The Golden opened earlier this summer to much fanfare in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The brainchild of Chefs Aaron Butts and Sean Richardson, The Golden, according to their website, "grew from the ambition to operate to the highest standard and offer something fresh and vibrant in Indiana."

Somewhere along the line the chefs fell in love with the Hestan cooking suite. When they began conceptualizing their space, this became the focalpoint of the restaurant's design. Instead of the magic happening behind the scenes, the chefs brought the show right out in front of the customers to add to the overall dining experience.

The chefs partnered with the C&T Design Fort Wayne office to make their cooking suite dreams a reality. Rob Niman assisted in the design process by providing equipment layouts for both the kitchen and bar so The Golden can deliver menu items in the most efficient manner possible. The cooking suite fit neatly under an island hood. C&T supplied and installed the equipment and exhaust system, and Rob managed the project's scope from design phase to installation.
