For this bid project, C&T provided procurement and installation of the food service equipment and managed the project. Project management included overseeing the walk-ins, the remote refrigeration, and the supply of the hoods. A unique feature of this assisted living project was the remote refrigeration. For energy efficiency purposes, there were nearly 20 pieces of food service equipment that were connected to the refrigeration rack system, which had to be placed on the building roof by crane. These pieces included drawers in chef’s counters, display cases, walk-ins, and reach-ins – in lieu of each piece having its own compressor.
