At We Bloom, transformation begins at the table.
Tucked into the first floor of their Indianapolis Headquarters, The Recovery Café, is more than just a physical space.
This café is a dynamic program designed to welcome individuals recovering from all walks of life: addiction, grief, loss, and the unseen struggles that don’t always have a name.
To become a member, the Recovery Café doesn’t charge a fee.
“All we are trying to provide is a safe space.” Kreitl, Executive Director & Co-Founder of We Bloom.
Founded with the vision of uplifting people, the organization partners with community entities to launch initiatives and programs rooted in compassion and inclusivity. All it asks from its participating members? Commitment, time, and presence.
We Bloom believes that this group-based structure nurtures accountability and friendship, providing a steady foundation in often unsteady times.
This year marks a major milestone: after six years, We Bloom is finally launching a full-fledged professional kitchen—an effort that represents far more than hot meals.
“It’s community. It’s breaking bread. It’s where differences disappear and everyone has a seat,” says Beth.
The kitchen isn’t just about nourishment—it’s about equity. Many members face housing instability and lack access to consistent, hot meals. This new kitchen provides not only logistical support — it brings dignity, stability, and a sense of belonging to the recovery journey.
While the cafe will feature two meals daily: Lunch and dinner, with lunch seeing the biggest crowds, the menus will be flexible and dynamic, a direct reflection of the nature of donations.
But there are dreams cooking beyond the kitchen too.
And for this monumental upgrade, We Bloom sends a loud and grateful shoutout to Jamie Hernandez from C&T Designs Indianapolis Office.
“In my opinion, she went way above and beyond,” Beth reported. “From design to procurement to install, she handled it all—and even trained our staff when they were unsure. She believed in what we were doing and proved it in every detail.”
