Bent's Opera House in Medina, New York is currently being renovated and updated to include a farm-to-table restaurant, a boutique hotel, and an event space. Bringing the 140 year old historic building back to life was no easy feat! C&T Design was lucky to be involved in such a fun and challenging project.
The C&T Design Buffalo office took over the foodservice aspects of this project after the previous dealer working on the project went out of business. Because we got involved at a late stage, most of the design work had been completed. We procured all equipment, managed this project including coordinating all trades necessary to complete the scope, and installed the equipment. The kitchen is visible to diners, so several elements were chosen for aesthetic reasons: the black walk-in cooler and hood covering, as well as powder-coating the stainless steel equipment to reduce the brightness to provide diners with a more relaxed environment.
